Mechanical Development Engineer - Simulation

You develop and optimize structural components and assemblies for industrial machines by applying advanced simulation methods to evaluate function, structural integrity and fatigue life.

Tasks

• Lead structural simulation activities in early development phases using FEM, CFD and system simulation
• Collaborate with design engineers and international, multidisciplinary project teams on technical concepts
• Validate simulation results, perform plausibility checks, and translate findings into engineering recommendations
• Support customer-specific solutions, root-cause analyses and damage consequence analyses
• Ensure compliance with applicable international regulations, standards and internal quality requirements
• Develop simulation methods, tools, processes and internal standards, with reproducible documentation

Profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• At least five years of professional experience in mechanical engineering
• At least three years of hands-on experience with simulation technologies, particularly finite element methods
• Profound knowledge of structural mechanics, manufacturing technologies and simulation methods
• Experience with 3D CAD systems
• Fluent English required; German considered an advantage
