About the role

The Director Strategy supports Senior Management in shaping Sonova’s global strategic direction and leads the development of the long-term strategy for the group.
Sonova is at a particularly exciting point in its journey. We are currently defining our 5–10-year strategy with the ambition to become a true disruptor in the hearing care industry. To drive this transformation, we are building a strong internal consulting and strategy capability that will play a key role in shaping the Group’s future direction and identifying new growth opportunities. Key responsibilities

Develop Corporate strategy for Sonova Group

  • Develop corporate strategies, strategic plans and objectives for the organization in alignment with Sonova's Senior Leadership team.
  • Support the Sonova Senior Leadership team to make decisions that have a long-term impact on the company.
  • Driving strategy development at Group level and participating in the development of the Group’s business field portfolios (incl. new business fields, deal pipeline of potential M&A targets, etc.).

Plan and oversee the execution of the Corporate Strategy

  • Plan and oversee the execution of strategies to meet organization's long-term goals including acquisitions/divestitures and strategic business alliances.
  • Drive new market initiatives and business opportunities in both new and existing markets.
  • Support leaders in defining and implementing a prioritized roadmap (capabilities, processes, and tools) to achieve the defined goals.

Run market work

  • Analyze markets, conduct value chain and industry analysis (drivers, players, competitive strategies, etc.) for identifying attractive space to enter and critical competitive advantages.
  • Contribute to the refinement of corporate templates for this work.

Drive results

  • Assist in achieving the Strategic Plan objectives and KPI related to the group priorities in collaboration with the functional owners.
  • Proactively lead problem solving processes to find root causes and countermeasures for driving / delivering growth plans and resolving transactional performance issues.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills — someone who can translate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations and drive real impact across a global business.

You bring:

  • 3–6 years of experience in strategy consulting or corporate strategy, ideally from a top-tier firm or within a global organization.
  • Proven ability to structure, analyze, and synthesize complex data and business insights.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect strategic thinking with execution.
  • Excellent communication skills — you can tell a compelling story and influence senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to lead cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, data visualization, and presentation tools (e.g. PowerPoint).
